Michael A Barry
Hello my great grand father Michael Barry was born in Drogheda, Co Louth, to Garrett Barry & Catherine Toner, in 1857, later the family moved to Belfast and there are three brother GarrettJn 1864 , Lawrence 1868 and Patrick 1862. Catherine died early in 1879 and a few years later Garrett moved the family to Glasgow, and Garrett Jn and Lawrence jioned the RA British Army, Patrick moved back to Dublin, and MIchael came to Portsea, Portsmouth, Hampshire, England. I have been looking for links via Autosomal DNA, and have proved my research by finding and testing my third cousin Liam M Barry from Bolton, England via deep Y DNA testing . The issue is that I have no idea where in Ireland either Garrett or Catherine originate and therefore an unable to link to other families.

Hello, My name is Frank Asencio. I am from Chicago, in the states. My mothers name is Rita Barry. Her father was James Barry. He and his brother I am told moved to the states in 1926 because of crimes against the Crown. I have been told my family is from the Cork area and also from Horse Island off Cork I believe.
